We give Glory to God

Call to Worship - Psalm 150:1-2

Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! 2 Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness!

Hymn of Acclamation - Jesus Paid it All

I hear the Savior say: “Thy strength indeed is small”

Child of weakness, watch and pray Find in me thine all in all.

Chorus
Jesus paid it all! All to Him I owe. Sin had left a crimson stain;
He washed it white as snow.

Lord now indeed I find; thy power and thine alone
Can change the leper’s spots, and melt the heart of stone. Chorus

And when before the throne, I stand in Him complete
Jesus died my soul to save, my lips shall still repeat. - Chorus

O praise the One who paid my debt,
And raised this life up from the dead! (REPEAT) - Chorus

We Mourn the Reality of sin

Hymn of Confession - Lord I need You

Lord I come, I confess, bowing here, I find my rest

Without You, I fall apart, You’re the One that guides my heart

Chorus

Lord I need You, oh, I need You, every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness, oh God how I need You

Where sin runs deep, Your grace is more
Where grace is found, is where You are

Where You are, Lord I am free, holiness is Christ in me - Chorus

Bridge
So teach my song to rise to You, when temptation comes my way

When I cannot stand I'll fall on You, Jesus You're my hope and stay - Chorus

You're my one defense, my righteousness, oh God how I need You
My one defense, my righteousness, oh God how I need You

Confession and Assurance of Pardon

God, we thank You for your mercy and grace. For paying our debt.

Please show us our sins. Lead us to hate our sins. And forgive our sins in Christ.

May we be reminded of how good your goodness truly is. Help us really believe the words of Psalm 145:8 - You are gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. Amen.

Hymn of Redemption: “Hallelujah! What a Savior!”

Man of Sorrows! what a name, for the Son of God, who came

Ruined sinners to reclaim, Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Bearing shame and scoffing rude, in my place condemned He stood

He sealed my pardon with His blood, Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Guilty, vile, and helpless me; Spotless Lamb of God was He;

Full atonement! can it be? Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Lifted up was He to die; "It is finished!" was His cry;

Now in Heaven exalted high, Hallelujah! What a Savior!

When He comes, our glorious King, all His ransomed home to bring,

Then anew this song we'll sing: Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Baptism Celebration

Matthew 28:18-20 - 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Romans 6:3-4 - 3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

Titus 3:4-7 - 4 But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Scripture Reading: “Mark 15:1-20”

And as soon as it was morning, the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council. And they bound Jesus and led him away and delivered him over to Pilate. 2 And Pilate asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” And he answered him, “You have said so.” 3 And the chief priests accused him of many things. 4 And Pilate again asked him, “Have you no answer to make? See how many charges they bring against you.” 5 But Jesus made no further answer, so that Pilate was amazed.

6 Now at the feast he used to release for them one prisoner for whom they asked. 7 And among the rebels in prison, who had committed murder in the insurrection, there was a man called Barabbas. 8 And the crowd came up and began to ask Pilate to do as he usually did for them. 9 And he answered them, saying, “Do you want me to release for you the King of the Jews?” 10 For he perceived that it was out of envy that the chief priests had delivered him up. 11 But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have him release for them Barabbas instead. 12 And Pilate again said to them, “Then what shall I do with the man you call the King of the Jews?” 13 And they cried out again, “Crucify him.” 14 And Pilate said to them, “Why? What evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Crucify him.” 15 So Pilate, wishing to satisfy the crowd, released for them Barabbas, and having scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

16 And the soldiers led him away inside the palace (that is, the governor's headquarters), and they called together the whole battalion. 17 And they clothed him in a purple cloak, and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on him. 18 And they began to salute him, “Hail, King of the Jews!” 19 And they were striking his head with a reed and spitting on him and kneeling down in homage to him. 20 And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the purple cloak and put his own clothes on him. And they led him out to crucify him.

We Respond to the Gospel

Hymn of Response: "Abide With Me"

Abide with me fast falls the even tide

The darkness deepens Lord with me abide

When other helpers fail and comforts flee

Help of the helpless abide with me

Thou on my head in early youth didst smile

And though rebellious and perverse mean
while
Thou hast not left me though I oft left Thee

On to the close Lord abide with me

I need Thy presence every passing hour

What but Thy grace can foil the tempter's power

Who like Thyself my guide and stay can be

Through cloud and sunshine abide with me

I fear no foe with Thee at hand to bless

Ills have no weight tears lose their bitterness

Where is thy sting death, Where grave they victory

I triumph still abide with me

Hold Though Thy cross before my closing eyes

Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies

Thy morning breaks and earthly shadows flee

In life in death Lord abide with me

Hymn of New Creation: “We Will Feast”

Chorus

We will feast in the house of Zion,
We will sing with our hearts restored

He has done great things, we will say together
We will feast and weep no more

We will not be burned by the fire,
He is the LORD our God

We are not consumed, by the flood,
upheld, protected, gathered up - Chorus

In the dark of night, before the dawn,
my soul, be not afraid

For the promised morning, oh how long?
Oh God of Jacob, be my strength - Chorus

Every vow we’ve broken and betrayed
You are the Faithful One

And from the garden to the grave
Bind us together, bring shalom. - Chorus

Benediction & Sending

Having been reminded of the future grace which is ours in Jesus Christ the Lord, may you now be refreshed by the grace which is yours already:
  • You are loved by God the Father - there is no one left to please.
  • You are saved by God the Son - there is nothing left to prove.
  • You are comforted by God the Spirit - there is nothing left to fear.
Autumn Ridge Family - you are sent into the world to make disciples of all nations. Go, therefore: in the love of God the Father, in the resurrection of God the Son, and in the comfort of God the Spirit; now and forevermore. Amen.

Operation Christmas Child
IT’S ALL ABOUT JESUS. That’s the theme of the 2025 Operation Christmas Child Campaign. Our church has a goal of completing 150 GO BOXES which will be sent throughout the world to provide discipleship and gospel opportunity as well as joy. Please pray for these boxes to bear witness to Christ throughout the world.

If you would like to complete a box yourself, pick one up in the Victory Christian Center lobby, sign the form on the clipboard, and pack the box using the provided information. Please add a $10 check for shipping and handling, made payable to Samaritan’s Purse, and return your box by Nov. 16.

After worship on Nov. 16, you are invited to join our “packing party” in which we will prepare the boxes to be sent out from our church! Learn more about the packing party and contribute by visiting the OCC packing party page.
