Don’t Forsake the Fullness of the Lord

When life scatters us—through failure, distraction, or the empty promises of the world—God’s call remains the same: return to Him with all your heart. In Deuteronomy 30:1–3, we see a powerful reminder that no matter how far we wander, the Lord is faithful to restore, gather, and show mercy to His people.

This week, we’ll wrestle with a hard but necessary question: what are we turning aside to? Whether it’s power, pleasure, or provision, the “counterfeit gods” we chase always leave us empty. Yet God alone is full—rich in mercy, unwavering in faithfulness, and worthy of our complete devotion.

Looking through the lens of 1 Samuel 11–12, we’ll also examine what it means to live faithfully before the Lord in a world that pressures us to seek approval from others. Are we more concerned with being liked, or with being obedient? Are we helping unify others around God’s truth, or drifting with the crowd?

The good news is this: even when we forsake Him, He does not forsake us. His faithfulness invites us back, and His fullness satisfies what nothing else can.
